Area of the invention
The present invention relates to a cover profile, for use, for example, wind sheaths and stem, where the cover profile has a height, a width, a length, and a thickness.
The invention also relates to a method of mounting a cover profile, the method comprising at least the following steps: A. A first profile is held against a support in the form of, for example, a windscreen or a stem, B. The first profile is attached to the support.
The invention further relates to the use of a covering profile.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
It is known that wind sheaths and stem are made of wood and subsequently treated with a tree protection with or without color. However, the wood requires maintenance as the wood dries out and the paint peels off.
It is also known to perform wind sheaths and stem in fiber cement or metal profiles instead of wood, as these materials do not require maintenance.
However, it is also known to coat wind sheaths and voice with, for example, zinc or copper. This cladding thus protects the underlying wood which is not to be maintained, and the cladding is maintenance-free. These claddings, with their angular folds, double folds or the more common lying folds, give a very classic and stylish cladding, widely used by architects to give buildings a special touch.
The disadvantage of these claddings is that they comprise a number of subcomponents / slabs which must subsequently be folded and assembled by a plumber, which makes the handling of the cladding more complicated and thus also causes an increase in the cladding of the building.
Furthermore, from JPS 644737 U there is known a covering profile where the profile has a coupling part in the longitudinal profile of the profile for coupling with another profile in the height direction of the profile and so that several profiles can be used for cladding a roof, but where the profile does not have coupling parts in the longitudinal direction of the profile. and thus unsuitable to form part of a covering where the profiles are assembled longitudinally.
The object of the invention
It is thus the object of the invention to provide a cover profile for use, for example, wind sheaths and voice, and where the profiles are at one time bumped up against the possibly previous profile and attached to existing wind sheaths and voice, and where the profiles with a connecting piece can be assembled in kip and ends at the bottom of the wind sheath and stem and where the collection of profiles is tool-free, simply pushing them together.
It is further an object of the invention to provide a cover profile which gives the same aesthetic impression as traditional folded coverings.
Description of the Invention
According to a first aspect of the invention, the above-mentioned object is achieved with a covering profile as described initially and as described in the preamble of claim 1, wherein the profile is substantially L-shaped, comprising a first part constituting the height of the profile which is substantially perpendicular to a second portion constituting the width of the profile and wherein the profile has a first end and a second end defining the length of the profile, the profile further having an outer side and an inner side, both at least comprising a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion is defined by the height and length, and the second portion is defined by the width and length, where on the first portion of the exterior, at the first end and parallel to the first end, there is an open seam.
This makes it possible to mount cover profiles on, for example, wind sheaths and stem, where the profiles are abutted one at a time against the inside corner of the profile, and when the first profile is mounted then the next profile bumps against the previous one, and in such a way that it the other end of a profile is abutted against the open fold of the previous profile and so that an overlap occurs. Thus, the profiles must be attached to the substrate one at a time, the place of attachment being concealed by the overlapping profile.
The open seam may be either upright, angled or as in a preferred embodiment, the seated seam permitting an adjacent profile to be simply pushed into the bottom of the seam. This clash is thus tool-free, since the seams are not closed and thus, as such, no permanent deformation and retention of the individual profiles are made to each other.
The profiles may be of any length, but as profiles tend to settle when they become too long, they are typically of a length of about half a meter. The profiles are also very easy to shorten and thus adapt with a plate scissors, since at the other end of the profiles there are no seams, holes or other necessary elements.
In a preferred embodiment, the profiles have a height between 200 mm and 333 mm.
In order to close wind sheaths and stem in a neat and complete way, the profiles with a connecting piece can be assembled in kip with a stop fall and terminated / started with an end / start fall at the ends of wind sheath and stem, as well as where there are no roof hangings over wind sheaths and stem. end with a voice capsule or other profile.
A stop counter is in principle an assembly sleeve which is open at both ends, where the stop counter in a preferred embodiment is a profile joint piece without a counter at one open end, the end counter and an open profile of a cover profile having to bump against each other but where the stop counter having a fold at the other open end, the other end of a cover profile being thereby able to be supported against this fold
In principle, a start and end ends are assembly sleeves which are open only at one end, but in which a preferred embodiment is a profile joint with a seam at the open end, where the other end of a cover profile can be encountered and where a preferred embodiment is a profile joint without a seam at the open end, the end seam thus being able to abut against the open seam of a cover profile.
Alternatively, the profiles can be either or also in a mirrored version, so that on the first part of the exterior, at the other end and parallel to the other end, there is an open seam. This can be an advantage in mounting cover profiles on wind sheaths, since the mounting on both wind sheaths can thus be done from below and finish with a joint in tilt.
In another aspect, the present invention also relates to a cover profile, the seam being integral with the profile and bent around the first end of the profile.
This makes it possible to produce the cover profiles in one piece, in a material and without loose parts that can fall off, disappear or otherwise disappear.
Alternatively, the seam could be made separately and subsequently spot welded on the first part of the exterior.
The present invention also relates, in a third aspect, to a cover profile, where further in the first part, between the first end and the seam, there is at least a through hole.
This makes it possible to attach the profile to the substrate with, for example, a nail or screw. In a preferred embodiment, there are 3 holes spaced along the first end, whereby it is possible to attach the profile in three places and where at least two points of attachment ensure that the profile is not able to rotate a point of attachment.
Alternatively, the profiles can be mounted without pre-drilled holes, for example by using gun stitches to secure the profiles.
As a further alternative, the profile may be retained along the free edge of the first part of the exterior, if this part of the profile would be concealed by, for example, a stem capsule.
The present invention also relates, in a fourth aspect, to a covering profile, the profile further comprising a third part which is substantially perpendicular to the second part and substantially parallel to the first part, the height of the third part being substantially less than the height of the first part and where the third part is defined by the height and length.
This allows the profile to be retained on the back of windscreen or stem, thus ensuring the profile a better abutment against windscreen and / or stem while also covering the edge of the surface that is most often of wood and where the edge is otherwise visible from inside the house when you look out the window.
In a preferred embodiment, the third portion is of the order of 1-3 cm, which is enough to achieve the desired functionality.
Alternatively, the third part may also be designed so that it also covers the back of the substrate, which may be desirable if the back is visible at, for example, large overhangs.
The present invention also relates, in a fifth aspect, to a covering profile where the second part is tapered, the smallest part starting from the first end and the largest part ending at the second end.
This allows the second end of the second profile to slide over the first end of the first profile and into the open fold of the first profile in such a way that the second part of the second profile extends beyond the second part of the first profile. That is to say, the inside of the second profile lies on the outside of the first profile on the piece where there is overlap between the two profiles.
Alternatively, one or more bends may be made at the first end of the profile and so that the width of the profile is smaller in the region from the first end and to the bottom of the seam, thereby avoiding a tapered width.
The present invention also relates, in a sixth aspect, to a covering profile, wherein the covering profile has an electrically galvanized coating.
This makes it possible to reduce the risk of corrosion to the linings that the profile is exposed to due to linings in the air. Zinc has a very long life and the patina created on the zinc overflow is self-protective.
In a preprinted embodiment, this is an aluminum profile which is surface treated and in a further preferred embodiment the cover profile is black, white or in patinated zinc, but the surface treatment also offers many other possibilities, since an electro-galvanization followed by a chromation can also be made with several color pigments, such as blue, red, green, black, brown and gold.
Alternative zinc surface treatments for electrical galvanizing (electrolytic galvanizing or electro galvanizing) where the coating thicknesses are typically between 5-30 µm, hot galvanizing (hot galvanizing) where the blanks are immersed in molten zinc and typically provide layer thicknesses of between 60-300 µm, and sheet galvanizing of galvanized sheets where and where the layer thickness is thereby easier to control than in heat galvanizing.
Alternatively, solid zinc, copper or other desirable material may be used, which, however, will hardly be economically viable and not a technically better solution.
The present invention also relates, in a seventh aspect, to a method of mounting a cover comprising a cover profile, the method comprising at least the following steps: A. A first profile is held against a support in the form of, for example, a windscreen or a stem, B. first profile is attached to the substrate, characterized in that the method further comprises at least the following steps: C. A second / last profile is held against the substrate, D. The second / last profile's second end is supported against the first end of the first profile, E The second / last profile is attached to the substrate.
This allows you to work with a profile at a time, where the profile is usually no larger than a person can handle it independently. Only necessary tools are a hammer, a nail gun, a screwdriver or a screwdriver.
The profiles themselves can thus be assembled without any tools, since the profiles are simply pushed against each other and as previously discussed above each other.
The present invention also relates, in an eighth aspect, to a covering profile, wherein the method comprises at least further the following steps before mounting is started and thus before step A: A ': A starting flap is mounted at the beginning of, for example, a windshield or a stem.
This makes it possible to start the profile mounting on wind sheaths or stem in a neat and complete way, so that the cover is sealed off nicely at the ends.
The present invention also relates, in a ninth aspect, to a covering profile, the method at least further comprising one of the following steps after mounting the last profile and thus after step E: F. A stop flap is mounted in the tilt of a windshield, and / or G .A final case is mounted at the end of a windshield or stem.
This makes it possible to finish the profiles in tipping with a stop counter, thus forming the joint of two windshields in a neat and complete manner.
With a final case, the mounting of the cover is also completed in a neat way.
A stem capsule can optionally be fitted if the roof covering, bricks, slabs and the like do not extend beyond the wind sheath / stem.
The present invention also relates in a tenth aspect to the use of a bmg cover profile for, for example, wind sheath and voice coverage.
This makes it possible to cover wind sheaths and voice in a quick, easy and simple way, which can be done by a carpenter or a do-it-yourself person and without the necessary acquisition of a lot of expensive special tools, such as a squeegee used by the plumbers, for example.

Detailed description of the invention
Figure 1 shows a cover profile 1 which is substantially L-shaped, with a first part 2 constituting the height 3 of the profile and the first part 2 being substantially perpendicular to a second part 4 constituting the width 5 of the profile and wherein the profile 1 further comprises a third portion 6 which is substantially perpendicular to the second portion 4 and substantially parallel to the first portion 2, the height of the third portion 7 being substantially less than the height of the first portion 3, however. In addition, the profile 1 has an outer surface 8 and an inner surface 9.
Figure 2 shows the profile 1 seen at right angles to the first part 2 and to the outside 8, where the profile 1 has a first end 10 and a second end 11, where the first end 10 and the second end 11 define the length 12 of the profile and where on the first part 2 of the exterior, at the first end 10 and parallel to the first end 10 is an open socket 13, and where there is at least a through hole 14 between the first end 10 and the socket 13.
Figure 3 shows the profile 1 seen perpendicularly to the second part 4 and to the outside 8, where the second part 4 is tapered, and so that the second part has a width 5 which is smaller at the first end 10 and thus larger in the second end 11. Thus, the first end 10 of a profile will fit into the second end 11 of a corresponding profile.
Figure 4 shows a section of Figure 3 in magnification, where it is seen that on the first part 2 of the profile and at the first end 10 of the profile there is an open socket 13. It is furthermore seen that the saddle 13 is in one and the same part as the rest of the the profile 1, the rim 13 being made of a piece bent around the first end 10 of the profile and on the first part 2 of the profile
